Frequently Asked Questions

We have assembled answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you cannot find an answer to your question, please e-mail us at buzz@loveandhoneybees.com.

Honey

What kind of honey will I receive?

The bees have several different plant species to forage on. The main nectars are buckwheat, fruit trees (peach, cherry, pear, plum, apple), nut trees (chestnut), and wildflowers.

What do I do if my honey crystalized?

Raw honey will naturally crystalize over time but it is just as good as it was when you first received it. Gently heat the bottle up in a hot water bath to have the crystals melt down and re-liquify.

Do you offer honey in bulk?

We do not currently offer anything other than our 12oz bottles and the honey 6 pack.

Is your honey organic?

Beekeepers in the US cannot advertise their honey as organic as we cannot control where the bees forage. Bees will forage up to 3 miles away from their hive. So while our honey cannot be advertised as organic, it is as close as you can get to getting a spoonful right out of the hive.
